WMAAP and WPCL host Blood Drive for Miller Keystone Blood Center July 11, 2012

The Western Pocono Community Library along with The World Martial Arts Academy of Pennsylvania will host their 2nd Blood Drive for the Miller Keystone Blood Center.
The blood drive will begin at 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM on July 11, 2012.
You must be age 17 and older to donate there is no upper age limit for donation.
Miller Keystone Blood Center is the only blood supplier to 24 hospitals in our region. No other blood organization supplies these hospitals, and only blood donated through MKBC is transfused at these facilities. Approximately 450 units of blood are needed every day in the 11 counties served by Miller-Keystone Blood Center.
One blood donation can save as many as four lives. One unit of blood can be separated into several components, including red blood cells, platelets, plasma and cryoprecipitate. Every 2 seconds someone in the United States of America needs blood. Miller-Keystone Blood Center performs approximately 13 tests on every unit of donated blood. The rarest type of blood is the one not on the shelf when you need it most, to save the life of yourself or your loved one.
Please call (570) 992-7105 to schedule a convenient donation time or to ask any questions you may have regarding blood donation, or visit The World Martial Arts Academy of Pennsylvania web site at http://www.wmaap.com You may also visit the Miller Keystone Blood Center for details regarding donation times, donor eligibility, and the overall donation process at http://www.giveapint.org
